Nicht sehr glaubwürdig...- to be able to survive in Germany, you have to obey the rules. I mean, really obey. As soon as you learn it, you'll be fine.
- bureaucracy is 200%. All agreements have to be made in writing, with a stamp and signature. Everything has to be cancelled the same way. I can tell you it was hard to get rid of my tv license. I had to specify why I am leaving the country, and what happens to my tv and radio. I think I sent 4 letters all together. Also, when I cancelled my gym membership, I had to provide the gym with an official document from the Düsseldorf city registration office that I am really leaving the country.
- bakeries are great. You get fresh warm bread and gorgeous rolls 7 days a week. I will miss it.
:thumbsu:
- opera is great in Düsseldorf
- No work is allowed on Sundays. All shops are closed, church bells are ringing 20 times a day, and you cannot do any work related tasks on Sundays (forget lawn mowing or car wash).
(Anm. Doch, die Bäcker arbeiten ja. Zumindest einige).
- it is important to be tanned all year round. There are sun studios everywhere.

- Smoking is allowed almost everywhere. And if it is not, everybody is smoking anyway. Combination of excessive suntan + smoking = old leatherbag look.
- Turkey is not in EU, but it is definitely is in Germany.
- Germans do know how to have fun. They are very good at organising all kinds of events, and take most of it.
